"We build a city and ran away from nature. Cities changed our life. We hold onto the wires that are everywhere and inescapable to explore the city and find comfort in this bizarre and restless world." Born in Shandong, China, in 1964, she graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Shandong Art Institute in 1987. In 2004, she continued her studies in the Advanced Oil Painting Program at the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute. She is a member of the Shanghai Artists Association. Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in China and internationally, including the Shanghai Art Museum, Liu Haisu Art Museum, Shanghai Biennale, Valencia Museum of Modern Art in Spain, and the Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea. Her paintings have received several awards, including the Art Award at the 2005 Shanghai Comprehensive Art Exhibition, an Excellence Award at the Second National Landscape Oil Painting Exhibition in 2007, and awards in national and Shanghai exhibitions in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, she presented her solo oil painting exhibition, Positive & Negative, at the Shanghai Art Museum. Her work has expanded beyond oil painting to include glass sculpture and other forms of visual art.
